My Sailors' Valentines may be seen at the Blue Moon Gallery.
Located at 50 York Street, Guilford, Ct. 06437. The Gallery may be reached at (203) 453-5845.

I have been honored in 2007 and 2008 to be "selected as one of the top crafts people working with traditional tools and techniques for Early American Life's 23rd annual Directory of Traditional American Crafts." The Directory will be in the August issue of Early American Life magazine. I am listed under Boxes in the August issue of the magazine. You may access their website at EALonline.

The criteria used to judge my Sailors' Valentines were mastery of the art form, heritage techniques and workmanship.

The selection committee included curators from " such prestigious institutions " as the Museum of Colonial Williamsburg, American Folk Art Museum, Shelburne Museum, Mount Vernon, Old Sturbridge Village and Shaker Museum, to mention a few, as well as antique dealers, independent scholars and professional instructors.

I'm so happy to be able to recreate these beauties from the sea in this traditional art form.
